Victory for Women Session
Topic: Women with Bleeding Disorder
Description: Basic understanding about the prevalence and cause of VWD and hemophilia in women. Discussion of the types of VWD and how they are diagnosed; description of the signs/ symptoms of VWD; discussion of mild hemophilia in women who are “symptomatic carriers”; identification of the possible treatment options available for women with VWD and mild hemophilia; tips on living with a bleeding disorder for patients, families, caregivers, and other professionals.
