Educational Dinner: Your Factor Fingerprint
Join us for an educational dinner. Saturday evening, June 13th we will be hosting an educational session with Bayer.
Session Details:
There are many genetic and environmental factors that influence the frequency and severity of bleeding in patients with hemophilia. This program aims to help patients and caregivers better understand the variables that healthcare professionals take into consideration when determining both a patients’ dosage and frequency of infusions. Also the program explains why patients who seem similar to one another might have very different dosing regimens.
Camp Red Sunrise: Family Camp
This year, we will be hosting a virtual family camp! All the fun of camp, brought to you in the comfort of your own home!
All camp supplies will be sent to your home.

Educational Session: Improving Hemophilia Managment
The Idaho Chapter, National Hemophilia Foundation has teamed up with PRIME education to bring this educational opportunity to our community members. This session is intended to be attended by both patients and clinical care team members. Some of the learning objectives for this session are:
(a) assess gaps in patient-provider knowledge and perceptions about bleeding risks, prophylaxis and treatment, and self-management;
(b) implement leading principles, tools, and processes for engaging patients and caregivers in shared decision-making about treatments;
(c) foster collaborative discussions between patients and providers on recent evidence and guidelines to personalize treatment decision-making based on individual patient characteristics.
We excited to have our very own Hemophilia Coordinator, Kara Garner, PPCNP-BC,RN-BC, volunteer her time to present this session, in support of the chapter and it’s members.
